The Name Game: 10 minutes

Instructions:
Ask everyone to stand in a circle.
Start by going around and have each child say his/her name. As it's said, the child makes a physical gesture or movement.
For example, "Anna" might say her name and at the same time raise both of her hands in the air. The whole group then repeats that name and gesture.
After the second participant goes, the whole group says the two names and gestures and so on until everyone has a turn.
By the end, the whole group is repeating everyone's name and gesture.
Repeat as often as two or three times. This energizer gets everyone moving.

Active Energizer Purpose: To have each child introduced by name through a fun and physically-active icebreaker.
