Writing for the Ear - A Radio Script: 45-60 minutes

Purpose: To provide children with the opportunity to create radio spot ads.

Tasks for Facilitator:
• Review Radio Spot Tips.
• Make copies of Radio Spot Tips (one for each team). See pages 54-55.

Materials Needed:
• Radio Spot Tips (posted)
• Copies of Radio Spot Tips (one for each team)
• Paper, pens, pencils
• Tape recorders with tapes

Expected Outcomes:
Children will...
• Create 60 second radio scripts incorporating the information from their Healthy Kid Packets.
• Identify the differences in creating audio versus visual ads.
