• City drinking water contains fluoride, which helps strengthen your teeth and prevent cavities. • Not drinking enough water can cause dry, itchy skin, nose bleeds, acne and headaches. • Water is needed in every cell of your body for nourishment and waste removal. • Water keeps your body cool by allowing you to sweat. • Drinking coffee, tea and soda, which contain caffeine, causes the body to lose fluid, which can lead to dehydration. • You need to drink water before, during and after any physical activity, even if you don't feel thirsty. • By the time you feel thirsty, you've already lost about 1% of the water from your body. |
