Healthy Behaviors to Help Prevent Diabetes
• Exercise is a very important “healthy behavior” to prevent
diabetes.
• Suggest that there's no need to run a marathon, walking counts!
• Share ideas on getting 30 minutes of walking
or other activity 5 days a week. You might ask, “What do you
do to stay active?”

• Focus discussion on the “right sized” portions.
